HANDICAP PLACARDS Temporary Placard: Applications may be picked up at the police department. The application must be signed by a physician certifying the need for a temporary handicap placard. The application must be returned to the police department with a check or money order for $4.00 made out to "N.J. Division of Motor Vehicles". The Chief of Police will then review the application and issue the temporary handicap-parking placard. The permit is valid for six (6) months and may be extended by the Chief of Police once for an additional six (6) months. Permanent Placard: Applications are available at the police department. The applicant and their doctor must complete the application and forward it to the N.J. Division of Motor Vehicles. DUMPSTER PERMITS Permission to place a dumpster on a public street must be obtained from the Chief of Police.
